Engineer / Sr. Engineer - Paint Shop

Role & responsibilities

• Planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling of all Painting shop activities.
• Reduce rework & rejection.
• Identifying the bottle neck areas, analysing and correcting the same.
• Corrective actions for all Painting defects.

Control of paint wastage and saving on blasting and painting cost

Preferred candidate profile

Specialized in paint technology having minimum 5 years of experience in paint shop.

• Manpower Management
• organizing relevant training sessions.
• Leadership Skills Handle Team
• Arranging the manpower resource before the start of month as per monthly demand and Manpower planning.
• determining quality control standards
• Daily meeting with PPC & Materials function, for discussing the plan & critical deliveries, QA For Issues
• Analysis of shop productivity on weekly pitch.
• Consistently managing area efficiency above 95%
• Monitoring of OEE for critical machines & plan to improve it further
• Aligning the resources for 5s & ensuring the 5s activities on shop
• Ensuring the adherence to safety through right process, good discipline & healthier environment on shop
• Responsible to achieve required targets on Productivity, Quality and Safety.
• Interaction with other sections of the Paint shop- Technical Support, planning, Process
• Maintenance and QA to improve & achieve the required targets.
• Initiate the Continues Improvement for Productivity Improvement, Quality Improvement,
• Cost reduction, Safety Enhancement Etc.
• Ensure availability of direct/Indirect material on line.
• Coordination with Fabrication Shop as a Supplier and with Assembly shop as an Internal
• Customer for Quality & Quantity.
• Co-Ordination for the Production trials for new product.
• Co-ordination with QA/QC/Client for in-process & final inspection
• Should Have Knowledge About the Painting Process & Validation & Pre cleaning Process
• ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 QMS / EMS
