Qualifications
LLB or equivalent with a focus on Intellectual Property law. 5-7 years of experience in IP law, including prosecution, oppositions, litigation, and enforcement. Experience in managing cases before High Courts, District Courts, and the Trademark Registry. Strong drafting, negotiation, and client management skills. Ability to work independently and in a team
Responsibilities IP Prosecution Oppositions: Handle trademark filings, prosecution, and opposition proceedings, as well as advise on trademark availability and infringement. IP Litigation Enforcement: Represent clients in IP-related litigation (trademarks, copyrights, patents) and criminal enforcement actions such as copyright infringement. Legal Advisory: Provide strategic guidance on IP protection, portfolio management, licensing, and commercialization of IP rights. Drafting Documentation: Draft and negotiate IP contracts, including licensing and assignment agreements. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain client relationships, offering proactive, tailored legal solutions. Team Leadership: Mentor junior associates and contribute to the growth of the IP practice
