Desirable/ pref .: Degree in LLB (IP) from IIT Kharagpur

WORK EXPERIENCE: 6-7 years of experience preferably with law firm

1. JOB PURPOSE

Managing Intellectual Property of the company- Trademarks and Copyrights from perspective of taking steps for IP Protection, preventing Infringement and enforcing such IP rights that overall benefits MSIL as organization.

1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

(List the accountabilities associated with the job.)

1. Conducting in-house Trademark Searches on Trademark govt. website and Search software and preparing detailed Search reports

2. Initiating Trademark Filings with managing related documents.

3. Conducting in-house watch on published trademarks for Oppositions and initiating Trademark Oppositions filings.

4. Initiating Copyright filings and managing related documents.

5. Maintaining Trademark, Trademark Oppositions and Copyright MIS and maintaining statutory and internal dates for filed & registered Trademarks, Trademark Oppositions and Copyrights.

6. Coordinating with law firms for management of filed and registered-Trademarks, Trademark Oppositions and Copyright.

7. Drafting and managing the C&D notices sent by company and other notices received by company.

8. Following other company/ department procedures that are required for management of Trademarks and Copyrights in company.
