Associate Product Manager

About Role:

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager (APM) with a strong focus on tactical execution. This role is designed for someone who excels in Agile execution, backlog management, user story creation, and sprint execution, while also working closely with engineering teams. The APM will ensure smooth sprint execution, structured backlog management, and alignment between product goals and development efforts.

This position is execution-heavy, meaning you will not just facilitate Agile processes but actively own the Jira backlog, user story documentation, sprint tracking, and release execution. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers and designers to break down features into clear, actionable tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

A) Product Execution & Agile Workflow Management

Own backlog management: Maintain a well-organized and prioritized Jira backlog.

Create and refine Jira tickets, ensuring user stories have clear acceptance criteria.

Collaborate with engineers to break down high-level product requirements into actionable development tasks.

Manage sprint execution, ensuring that development efforts align with business goals and priorities.

Track sprint progress, keeping stakeholders informed on milestones and blockers.

Facilitate sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) as needed.

B) Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure smooth execution of development tasks.

Ensure that product priorities set by the Product Lead are effectively translated into development work.

Assist in feature releases, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment.

C) Process Improvement & Efficiency

Identify inefficiencies in execution and propose improvements in workflow and backlog management.

Ensure Jira hygienekeeping tickets up to date, well-documented, and organized for seamless execution.

Track and report key Agile metrics such as sprint velocity, burndown charts, and cycle time.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a product execution, Agile, or project management role.
• Strong proficiency with Jira, backlog refinement, and user story writing.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA) in an Agile environment.
• Ability to write clear acceptance criteria and break down features into structured development tasks.
• Hands-on experience in sprint tracking, workflow optimization, and backlog management.
• Strong analytical and communication skill stability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in health tech, med tech, or regulated industries.
• Exposure to UI/UX decision-making for feature refinement.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
