Job Title : Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist.

Department : Data Science Department.

Report to : SVP, Head of Data Science.

The Data Scientist/Sr Data Scientists will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects covering areas of:

- Risk Modelling and Analytics : Develop and implement credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD), borrower segmentation, and early warning systems.

- Systemic Implementation of Models : Integrate and deploy models into production systems using APIs and other relevant technologies.

- Lending Strategy Development : Contribute to the development and optimization of lending strategies based on data analysis and model insights.

- Bureau Score Analytics : Analyze credit bureau data, develop bureau scorecards, and integrate bureau information into risk assessment processes.

- Portfolio Risk Management : Monitor and analyze portfolio risk, identify and mitigate potential risks, and generate reports for management.

- Collections Models and Strategy : Develop and implement collection strategies, predict customer behavior, and optimize collection efforts.

- Fraud and Anomaly Detection : Develop and implement models to detect and prevent fraud, identify anomalies in customer behavior, and enhance data security.

- Other Analytics : Conduct ad-hoc analyses on various business areas, such as HR Analytics, Sales Forecasting, and market research.

Qualifications :

- Education : MS/MTech/BTech graduates or equivalent with a focus on data science and quantitative fields (CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics).

- Work Experience : Overall 1 to 3 years of proven experience in AI/ML with Python. Out of the total experience, at least 1 to 2 years of experience should be in Lending, FinTech, Banking/Financial Services.

Skills & Competencies :

Technical Skills :

- Programming & Statistics : Proven experience in usage of Python and SQL.

- Excellent in programming and statistical concepts.

- Technical Proficiency : Working knowledge of AWS, Git, and Postman.

- Machine Learning : Proficiency in Machine Learning Algorithms and Techniques (such as XGBoost, Random Forest, Support Vector Machines, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing).

- Model Deployment : Experience with model deployment and version control using tools like MLflow, Docker.

- Cloud Computing : Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
