Job Overview:

As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting websites powered by WordPress. Your role will involve everything from theme and plugin development to ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of websites.

Role & responsibilities

• WordPress Development:
• Design, implement, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Work with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, and others to create fully functional and attractive websites.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO.
• Customize and enhance existing websites to meet client requirements.
• Website Maintenance & Support:
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or issues with existing WordPress websites.
• Regularly update themes, plugins, and WordPress core for security and functionality.
• Monitor website performance and conduct security audits.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to ensure timely project delivery.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide technical solutions.
• Testing & Debugging:
• Perform thorough testing and debugging on websites across various browsers and devices.
• Conduct website performance tuning, and implement best practices for accessibility.
• Documentation & Best Practices:
• Maintain clear and organized documentation for website projects.
• Follow best practices for WordPress development and ensure code quality, security, and scalability.

Preferred candidate profile

• 2+ years of experience in WordPress development.
• Strong portfolio of WordPress websites showcasing a variety of work (development, customization, and maintenance).
• Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Expertise in working with WordPress themes, plugins, and custom post types.
• Experience with responsive design frameworks and mobile-first design principles.
• Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or similar.
• Experience in website optimization (speed, performance, SEO).
• Comfortable with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience with WordPress hosting environments and cPanel and knowledge of web security best practices.
• Familiarity with APIs and third-party integrations.
• Basic knowledge of SEO and best practices for website performance.
