Purchase Executive RM & PM

Role & responsibilities

• Procurement of Raw Materials & Packaging Materials: Oversee the purchase of raw materials and packaging materials required for production. Collaborate closely with the production and inventory teams to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.

• Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers of raw materials and packaging materials. Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery time, and reliability.

• Price Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, ensuring cost-efficiency while maintaining product quality.

• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of raw materials and packaging materials. Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

• Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that raw materials and packaging materials meet the companys quality standards and compliance requirements before they are accepted into inventory.

• Order Processing & Follow-Up: Prepare and place purchase orders based on production needs. Track order progress and communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Address and resolve any issues related to delayed or incorrect deliveries.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, supplier communications, and delivery schedules. Generate and present procurement reports, including material costs, order status, and supplier performance metrics.

• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, explore alternative sources, and keep up to date with industry trends and material prices.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all procurement processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Follow best practices for health, safety, and environmental standards in sourcing materials.

Preferred candidate profile

• Knowledge of material management, sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software (ERP systems).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
