Job Summary:

• Prepare and analyse financial statements by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Generate timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and analyse budget-to-actual variances, providing explanations for discrepancies.
• General Ledger Management:
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Month-end and Year-end Close:
• Lead or participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare adjusting journal entries as necessary.
• Financial Analysis:
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
• Preferable if the resource has worked in Orion
• Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of external audit documentation.
• Taxation:Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications: CA/Inter CA/Inter IWCA
