Job Description
- Safety Management:
-
- Enforcing all safety protocols and procedures, including proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
- Investigating safety incidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Conducting regular safety training and drills for staff.
- Monitoring hazardous materials handling and storage.
- Production Oversight:
- Scheduling and assigning tasks to operators to optimize production efficiency.
- Monitoring production processes through data analysis and equipment readings.
- Identifying and resolving production issues, including troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
- Ensuring quality control standards are met by conducting regular product inspections.
- Team Leadership:
- Providing guidance and coaching to operators on best practices.
- Addressing performance issues and providing feedback to team members.
- Managing staff schedules and assigning shifts.
- Fostering a positive team environment and promoting collaboration.
- Maintenance and Compliance:
- Coordinating routine maintenance activities on plant equipment.
- Identifying and reporting necessary repairs to maintenance teams.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records of production activities.
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years experience in a chemical manufacturing plant, ideally in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of chemical processes and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical data and production reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with operators, maintenance teams, and management.
- It is important to be able to effectively manage, lead, and motivate a diverse team of employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
