Workday Financials Implementation Lead

• Lead full Workday Financials implementations , from requirements gathering and design to configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Configure and optimize Workday Financials modules , including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Banking & Settlement, Procurement, and Expenses.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on Workday Financials, advising clients on best practices and Workday functionality.
• Lead business process design and configuration workshops , collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into Workday solutions.
• Manage data migration and integration efforts , ensuring smooth transition from legacy systems into Workday Financials.
• Work closely with technical teams to design and implement Workday Studio integrations , EIBs, Core Connectors, and APIs.
• Develop and optimize Workday Financials reports and dashboards , including Advanced, Composite, Matrix Reports, and Workday Prism Analytics.
• Ensure Workday Accounting Center is properly configured to streamline financial data consolidation, reconciliations, and compliance reporting .
• Provide post-go-live support , troubleshooting issues, conducting user training, and ensuring system stabilization.
• Lead and mentor junior consultants and client-side finance teams on Workday Financials best practices and system utilization .

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of Workday Financials experience , with at least 2 full Workday Financials implementations as a lead consultant.
• Strong expertise in Workday Financials modules , including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking & Settlement, Procurement, Expenses, and Workday Accounting Center.
• Experience with Workday Reporting and Analytics , including Workday Prism, Adaptive Planning, and BIRT reports.
• Hands-on experience with Workday integrations , including EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and APIs.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), financial operations, and compliance requirements .
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in training and knowledge transfer to finance teams and technical staff.
• Workday Financials Certification preferred.
• Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required; MBA or CPA is a plus.
