Job Description

An FB Manager oversees the food and beverage operations in a hospitality establishment, ensuring customer satisfaction, efficient operations, and profitability. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a focus on quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Management

    • Plan, organize, and manage the overall operations of food and beverage outlets, catering services, and banquet facilities.
    • Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality service and compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  2. Staff Supervision and Training

    • Recruit, train, and supervise food and beverage staff.
    • Set performance standards and ensure adherence through regular evaluations.
    • Foster a positive work environment to motivate employees and encourage teamwork.
  3. Menu Planning and Inventory

    • Collaborate with chefs and bartenders to design innovative menus, considering customer preferences and market trends.
    • Manage inventory levels, procure supplies, and negotiate with vendors to secure the best deals.
    • Ensure food and beverage costs align with the budget.
  4. Customer Experience

    • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and service.
    • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
    • Gather feedback from patrons to improve services.
  5. Financial Management

    • Develop and manage budgets for food and beverage operations.
    • Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability, implementing cost-control measures as needed.
    • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
  6. Compliance

    • Ensure all food and beverage operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and alcohol licensing laws.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance and quality standards.
  7. Marketing and Promotions

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional events and strategies to attract customers.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: Bachelors degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage management or a similar role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
    • Proficiency in restaurant management software.
    • Creativity in menu planning and promotions.
    • Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations.
