Job Description

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Head of Communications to lead and manage all aspects of internal and external communication strategies for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public relations, corporate communications, and content strategy, and will be responsible for developing and executing communication plans that align with the company’s goals and strengthen its brand reputation. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Communication Leadership: Develop and execute the overall communications strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission, vision, and business goals. Lead both internal and external communications efforts, ensuring a consistent brand voice and message across all channels. Advise senior leadership on effective communication strategies for key company initiatives, announcements, and crisis management. Media Relations & Public Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Proactively secure media coverage and manage public relations efforts to enhance the company’s reputation. Oversee the creation of press releases, speeches, and other public-facing materials, ensuring they align with brand messaging. Handle media inquiries and manage responses to public inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Brand & Message Management: Ensure consistent and cohesive messaging across all communication platforms, including the website, social media, press releases, newsletters, and internal communications. Oversee the development of marketing and communication materials, including brochures, presentations, and executive speeches. Manage the development of content strategies that support organizational objectives and engage key stakeholders (customers, partners, investors, etc.). Crisis Communication: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate any negative publicity or issues that may impact the company’s reputation. Serve as a key spokesperson during times of crisis and provide counsel to senior leadership on how to address sensitive issues. Monitor social media and public sentiment to anticipate potential crises and address them proactively. Internal Communications: Lead internal communications initiatives to ensure transparency and alignment within the organization. Develop and maintain communication channels (email newsletters, intranet, town hall meetings, etc.) to keep employees informed about company updates, achievements, and changes. Foster a culture of open communication by collaborating with other departments and ensuring that internal messaging reflects the company’s values and culture. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and manage the communications team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Establish clear goals and performance metrics for the team and ensure they are aligned with the company’s communication strategy. Collaborate with other departments (marketing, HR, product, etc.) to ensure effective execution of communication initiatives across the organization. Digital & Social Media Strategy: Oversee the company’s social media presence, ensuring content is engaging, aligned with the brand, and reaches the right target audience. Develop and implement strategies to increase online visibility and engagement with key stakeholders through digital platforms. Monitor and analyze digital performance metrics to refine and optimize social media and content strategies. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate strategic business goals to internal and external stakeholders. Develop and manage communication strategies for investor relations, customer communication, and partnerships. Ensure key messages are delivered effectively to stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and supporting business growth.
