Part Time Spanish Teacher

Job Summary:

Kanakia International School - IB, Chembur, is seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Spanish Teacher to join our faculty. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging Spanish lessons to students in Grades 6 to 9, fostering a love for the language and an understanding of Hispanic culture. This part-time position requires teaching 4 days a week, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching and Curriculum Delivery:

• Design and implement effective Spanish lessons aligned with the IB curriculum for Grades 6 to 9.
• Focus on developing students' proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding Spanish.
• Incorporate cultural elements to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Hispanic traditions and customs.

2. Student Engagement:

• Foster an interactive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and interest in language learning.
• Use creative teaching methods, such as role-plays, games, and multimedia resources, to enhance language acquisition.

3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

• Assess and monitor students' progress through quizzes, assignments, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback and individualized support to help students achieve their language learning goals.

4. Collaboration and Planning:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to align lessons with interdisciplinary projects and school events.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of the Spanish curriculum as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching Spanish to middle and high school students, preferably within an IB framework.
• Strong command of the Spanish language and a good understanding of Hispanic culture.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for teaching languages.

Work Schedule:

• 4 days a week, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
