Job Overview

Position : Field Engineer

Location : Pithampur, MP

A Field Engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical support and expertise in the field. He will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of pre engineered building structure at various sites. Working closely with project coordinator, internal teams like logistics, production and external clients, he will ensure that projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards. This role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation and Commissioning: Perform on-site installation, configuration, and commissioning of equipment or systems according to technical specifications and project requirements. Ensure proper setup and functionality before handing over to the client.

2. Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to clients and field technicians. Troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

3. Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections to identify potential issues or areas for improvement. Perform repairs, replacements, or upgrades as necessary to maintain equipment reliability and functionality.

4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation activities, service reports, and equipment inventory. Document troubleshooting steps, solutions implemented, and any modifications made during field visits.

5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets quality standards and complies with relevant regulations and safety guidelines. Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify compliance with specifications and customer expectations.

6. Customer Interaction: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Address client inquiries, provide technical guidance, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

7. Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and guidance to field technicians and clients on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment or systems. Share technical expertise and best practices to improve overall performance and efficiency.

8. Remote Support: Provide remote assistance and troubleshooting support to field technicians and clients as needed. Utilize remote access tools and diagnostic software to identify and resolve technical issues remotely.

9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in field operations. Collaborate with internal teams to implement changes, streamline workflows, and enhance service delivery.

10. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a field service or technical support environment.

11. Strong technical aptitude with hands-on experience in equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

12. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

13. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

14. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

15. Willingness to travel to various job sites and work flexible hours as needed.

16. Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

17. Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with technical software tools.

Experience

1 year and above in similar field.
