Quality Assurance Head - Kaisha Packaging Pvt Ltd | Daman

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Team Management:
   
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality assurance professionals, ensuring high performance and accountability.
• Set clear performance goals and conduct regular reviews of team members.
• Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the packaging production teams.
2. Quality Systems Management:
   
• Establish and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement comprehensive quality control systems for the entire packaging production cycle.
• Ensure compliance with relevant certifications (e.g., ISO, GMP, FDA, etc.).( 9001, 13485,15378)
3. Quality Audits & Inspections:
   
• Conduct regular internal quality audits and lead external inspections by regulatory bodies or clients.
• Analyze quality issues and non-conformances, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure packaging products are tested for durability, strength, safety, and performance standards.
4. Product & Process Improvement:
   
• Identify areas for improvement in packaging processes and develop strategies to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
• Analyze customer complaints or returns and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with R&D or design teams to improve packaging designs for better quality and functionality.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
   
• Stay updated on changes in packaging regulations and ensure that the companys processes align with them.
• Manage the documentation and certification processes to comply with industry standards and government regulations.
• Ensure that packaging products meet customer requirements and industry certifications.
6. Training & Development:
   
• Conduct training sessions on quality standards, inspection processes, and compliance requirements for production staff.
• Provide continuous professional development for the QA team to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
7. Supplier & Vendor Quality Management:
   
• Evaluate and select suppliers and vendors based on their ability to meet quality requirements.
• Monitor the performance of suppliers and work closely with them to ensure raw materials and packaging components meet quality standards.
8. Reporting & Documentation:
   
• Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on quality metrics, audit findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Present quality performance data to senior management and make recommendations for improvements.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Packaging Technology, or a related field. A Masters degree or certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO certification) is a plus.
• Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within the packaging industry.
• Knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of packaging materials, machinery, and processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ISO 9001, GMP, etc.) and regulatory requirements (FDA, European Union regulations, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of testing and inspection methods for packaging products.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Proficient in data analysis, quality audits, and report generation.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with various teams and stakeholders.

Candidates from Packaging Industries would be preferred.
