Job Title: Import Executive

Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate (Preferably in Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Import Documentation & Compliance:

• Prepare and manage import-related documents such as Bill of Entry, Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, Certificates of Origin, and Insurance Certificates.

• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT norms, and import licensing requirements.

• Coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agents) and government authorities for smooth clearance.

• Manage Advance License (DFIA/DEEC) for duty-free imports, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to licensing conditions.

2. Logistics & Shipment Coordination:

• Arrange freight forwarding, shipping, and container bookings for incoming shipments.
• Track shipments and ensure timely clearance from ports/customs.
• Work closely with transporters, warehouses, and suppliers for smooth material movement.

3. Vendor & Supplier Coordination:

• Liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport agencies.
• Negotiate freight rates, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Verify import duty structure, HS codes, and taxation impact.

4. Banking & Payment Handling:

• Handle Letter of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, and Advance Payments.
• Coordinate with banks for payment processing, document verification, and remittances.

5. Advance License Management:

• Apply for Advance Licenses under DGFT guidelines for duty-free import of raw materials.
• Ensure compliance with export obligations and proper documentation for license closure.
• Maintain records and coordinate with customs authorities and DGFT officials for smooth operations.

6. Reporting & Data Management:

• Maintain and update import records, landed cost calculations, and stock movement reports.
• Prepare MIS reports related to import activities, duty exemptions, and cost analysis.

Key Skills Required:

✅ Strong knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance, and international trade policies.

✅ Experience in Advance License (DFIA/DEEC), DGFT norms, and EXIM policies.

✅ Expertise in freight forwarding, LC, and banking procedures.

✅ Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and EXIM-related software.

✅ Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

✅ Strong communication and coordination abilities.
