Manager - Human Resources - Disciplinary Proceedings
We are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our team. This dynamic role involves overseeing critical HR functions, ranging from disciplinary processes to HR business partnering. Candidates must be adaptable and ready to take on responsibilities as per business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Disciplinary Process:
1. Policy Implementation: Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures related to employee conduct and discipline, ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws and regulations.
2. Investigations: Conduct impartial investigations into alleged misconduct or policy violations, including interviewing relevant parties, gathering evidence, and documenting findings. Prepare reports, ensure proper documentation, and deliver disciplinary letters with due diligence. Maintain MIS and data for auditors and stakeholders.
3. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of disciplinary actions, including warnings, suspensions, or terminations, ensuring accuracy and compliance for legal reference. Support POSH committee activities and maintain records of returns and challans.
- Communication: Communicate disciplinary decisions effectively, outlining reasons and providing improvement guidance, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to natural justice principles.
4. Legal Compliance: Stay updated on Indian labor laws, ensuring all disciplinary actions align with statutory requirements, including handling terminations within legal frameworks.
5. Employee Counseling: Provide guidance to employees facing disciplinary issues, fostering constructive dialogue and clarifying company expectations.
6. Collaboration: Partner with legal, senior management, and other departments to align disciplinary actions with organizational goals and policy updates.
7. Training: Design and deliver training programs to promote understanding of company policies and expected conduct, aiming to prevent future issues.
HR Business Partnering:
1. Drive HR projects in collaboration with business teams, focusing on employee engagement, performance management, talent management, and policy/process reviews.
2. Resolve complex employee relations issues through effective, objective investigations.
3. Provide strategic guidance on department restructures, manpower planning, and succession planning.
4. Act as a consultant and advisor on human resource management and organizational changes.
5. Address employee grievances and resolve queries, conducting investigations when necessary.
6. Oversee documentation related to employees, including managing letters and official records.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Full-time MBA in HR or a related post-graduate degree, with coursework in industrial psychology or relevant HR fields.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in HRBP and disciplinary proceedings. Candidates with exceptional academic credentials and 3+ years of experience from premier institutes may also be considered.
- Prior experience in the BFSI sector is highly preferred.
Skills and Attributes:
- In-depth knowledge of business administration, management, and business forecasting strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with employees and vendors.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Proactive and organized with a detail-oriented approach.
