Security Operations Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Cloud Security Operations Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure and applications. You will work closely with the Cloud Solutions Engineer and other teams to implement and maintain security policies, controls, and tools. You will also monitor and respond to security incidents, perform audits, and provide guidance on best practices. You will play a key role in protecting our data and assets from cyber threats.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Security Administration: Configure and manage security tools and services, such as identity and access management, encryption, firewall, antivirus, and vulnerability scanning.
• Security Monitoring: Perform regular security assessments and audits, identify and remediate security gaps, and report on security metrics and KPIs.
• Security Incident Response: Detect and respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.
• Security Awareness: Educate and train staff on security best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Security Innovation: Research and evaluate emerging security technologies and trends, and recommend solutions to enhance our security posture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in cloud security operations, with proficiency in Azure and/or AWS.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialist, CompTIA Security+, CISSP).
• Working knowledge of security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
