Technology Manager - Gas Treating

The purpose of this position is to provide technical leadership related to Gas Treating to enable sustainable and profitable growth. The position has following primary objectives:

i. Sponsorship of the Gas Treating portfolio ensuring profitable and sustainable business.
ii. Process leadership through all project phases eg tender, project execution including detailed design, start-up & commissioning
iii. Enabling the Sales team to meet orders targets through the provision of process, technical and proposal support.
iv. Support strategy, business development and expansion of the Gas Treating portfolio and assist drive future direction aligned with the Energy Transition . Help evolve Jord for the future.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Overall sponsorship of the technical welfare of the gas treating business
Assist develop and provide technical expertise to implement the strategy around Where to Play & How to win related to Gas Treatment
Seek to expand the Jord technology range and offering to support revenue growth in this space.
Deliver accurate, cost effective and timely detailed process engineering deliverables for project execution during project phase.
Ensure compliance to all technical requirements during proposals & project phase detailing offering alternative options where practical.
Ensure the proposal team provide reliable, valuable and competitive solutions to be offered to our customers pre-award.
Oversee all proposal activity including technical and cost estimation activities including tender clarifications.
Supporting the regional sales teams with commercial negotiations, closure and contract acceptance including
Provision of multi-functional co-ordination with Corporate, Operations & Sales during tenders and project execution.
Develop and refine the tools and processes to design and estimate proposal work, including supply chain oversight
Mentoring and train junior staff
Support the promotion and sale of process solutions - meeting customers, agents and staff, in aligned industry sectors, travelling as required
Train and support regional sales resources regarding the process solutions.
Maintain regular contact and relationships with existing and potential major customers
Remain aware of competitive activity and how it impacts the company s goals and objectives
Support the identification of new near-term opportunities for existing product portfolio
Represent the Company at trade/technical conferences and exhibitions
Input into sales forecast, pipeline and other management reporting
Promote genuine ideas and options to diversify into new areas of related business
Coordinate with the GM to establish any Business Case to support the movement into any new areas
Multi-functional support to other areas of the business such as operations, quality and finance as required
Continuous improvement and optimisation of Jord technology

Skills and Experience:

Min. bachelor s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent
20+ years of experience in process design & engineering of process solutions for gas treatment and related processes
Specific expertise related to dehydration, sweetening (amine based), CO2 removal (using membranes), condensate stabilisation, sulphur/mercury removal, fuel gas conditioning applicable to both on and off shore processing
Experience with proposals, incl cost estimating and the selling the Gas Treating offerings
Competence with software like HYSYS/Unisim, Promax, Pipesim, FlareNet, TGNet/TLNet, HYSYS dynamics and HTRI
Good knowledge of instrumentation and control systems
Proven track record in supporting and closing design review, HAZOP and SIL meetings with customers/end users
Advanced knowledge of process design of gas Treatment solutions, pressure vessel design codes, end User specifications like API, ASME, Shell DEP/Aramco, Exxon Mobil etc. and the ability to read manufacturing drawings
A proactive and positive attitude focused on successfully supporting the Company s business
Proven ability to working cooperatively and constructively within a culturally diverse team environment
Good English communication and presentations skills
Good knowledge of computing and MS suite of software
