Job Title: System Administrator/ Data Analyst for Daptiv (future Planview), and JIRA

Purpose of Position: The OpenBlue Solutions Data and Analytics organization is seeking a System Administrator/Data Analyst to join our team, focusing on the administration and data analysis coming out of Daptiv (future Planview), and JIRA. This role will also involve data mining and report creation to support various business functions. The System Administrator/ Data Analyst will ensure the smooth operation and optimization of these tools, driving performance transparency and accountability across the OpenBlue organization for Johnson Controls.

Role Summary:

The System Administrator/ Data Analyst will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of Daptiv (Planview), and JIRA. This role will also involve developing and implementing analytics and performance tracking tools, preparing standard reports for key stakeholders, and identifying areas for process improvement. The System Administrator will work closely with various teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the functionality of these tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and support Daptiv (Planview), and JIRA to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
• Collect and coordinate business requirements for analytical reporting.
• Develop, evaluate, and implement analytics and performance tracking tools.
• Prepare standard reports for key stakeholders and document areas for improvement.
• Monitor the performance of reports and dashboards, complete data validation, and resolve data integrity issues.
• Provide user support through training and query resolution to ensure effective usage of the tools.
• Assess current reporting activities and develop robust solutions to automate and optimize processes.
• Ensure appropriate security measures are adhered to within all tools.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Lead data quality initiatives within all tools.
• Filter and clean data, locate and correct code problems.
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Review ad-hoc vs. standard management reporting processes to determine when repetitive ad-hoc requests should be included as standard reporting.
• Perform various ad-hoc assignments as needed.
• Provision licenses and provide user access based on business needs.
• Ensure permission control within all tools.
• Support issue resolution with end users and assist with submitting and tracking remediation of support tickets.
• Liaise with IT and other partners as needed
• Responsible for data quality checks and analysis.

What We Look For:

Essential Education & Experience:

• Bachelor s Degree preferred in Computer Applications, Engineering, Business Intelligence, Business Management, or a related field.
• Between 2-5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Daptiv, Planview, and JIRA.
• Experience in data mining and report creation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Power BI
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and possessing a strong sense of urgency
• Strong time management and organization skills
• Highly customer-focused and able to manage conflicting priorities
• Experience in User Support Management
• Project Management experience in user support related projects
