Specialist Proposal Writer

Business unit: Bid CoE, Sales Operations

Reporting to Team Lead, Bid CoE

Key stakeholders: Global Head, Sales Operations; Head, APAC Proposal Centre of Excellence (CoE); APAC Pursuits (bids) team; APAC Pursuits Design team

Location: Gurugram

Timing: 9 AM - 6 PM Might need to log in early at times since it will be an Australian shift.

Overview

JLL s APAC Pursuits team is a high-performance group of business development pitching strategists. We are focused on driving revenue growth, and do this by equipping, enriching and enabling our business teams to grow. Through introducing and leading a strategic and innovative methodology for winning new business, we achieve significant results with each team we partner with.

Duties responsibilities

What this job involves

• Manage the completion of RFP submissions (up to 80% complete depending on complexity), for the transactions business in APAC. End to end project management across the entire pitch lifecycle.
• Undertake pre-sales research, and lead scoping (key issues analysis) exercise with the APAC business / APAC Pursuits team to clearly align on deliverables (responsibilities and timelines), key strategic response elements and value propositions that differentiate JLL s offering.
• Complete first baseline draft RFP response, pulling baselines from proposal databases and baseline libraries. Develop (including editing and re-writing) responses to provide the best suited response.
• Develop second-level draft RFP response, after incorporating inputs from Business Stakeholders, and feedback from the APAC Pursuits in-country team. Also write executive summary.
• Oversee and participate in the development of bid presentations, in coordination with Business Stakeholders, Pursuits team members, and APAC Pursuits specialist Graphic Design Team.
• Identify unique questions and responses in completed pitches, and update baselines with new content
• Support on the roll out of APAC Pursuits online pitch management platform and central repository for best-in-class materials. Develop, own, and continuously improve materials on the platform, ensuring all content is accurate and current.
• Support on the ongoing collation, updating and delivery of critical business data and other Pursuits materials, including but not limited to baseline, case studies, quotes, organisation charts, imagery, awards, core business statistics.
• Develop strong relationships with, and work closely with APAC Pursuits JBS Pursuits Design team, to create JLL branded proposals, presentations, and baseline business line templates.
• Quality control oversight of the work of junior CoE team members in relation to proposal writing, proposal coordination and content management.
• Establish and uphold quality standards and meet SLA metrics. Work with the Head of the Proposal Centre of Excellence to proactively implement process improvements to ensure higher productivity and increased efficiency levels.

• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
• Copywriting experience
• Attention to detail with excellent editing, proof reading and quality control capability
• Strong influencing skills to build partnership across different points of the business and in different APAC countries
• A self-starter with strong project management skills. Ability to balance several projects at once, prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines
• Content/knowledge management and experience in creating lists/libraries/sites
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel); proficiency in formatting/design will be a plus

Employee specification

• Post-Graduate, with excellent academic credentials
• Over 7 years of experience in end-to-end proposal management within a professional services firm with substantial experience in proposal writing
• A talent for writing
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships virtually
