Interior Designer - Costing Executive

Role & responsibilities:

• Bill Preparation: Prepare or assist in preparing bills for assigned interior projects, including BOM (Bill of Materials) and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
• Measurement Tasks: Take measurements for client and vendor billing, and for internal documentation.
• Drawing and Quantity Extraction: Extract quantities from CAD drawings and create AutoCAD drawings.
• Project Quotation & Ordering: Manage the full cycle of ordering for interior projects, from inception to completion.
• Schedule Management: Track and manage project schedules effectively.
• Budget Adherence: Ensure that projects adhere to budgets and minimize wastage.
• Coordination: Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants to ensure the project meets the companys requirements.
• Pricing & Merchandising: Maintain accurate pricing and merchandising records for all projects.
• Professional Representation: Present a professional and courteous manner in all interactions, both inside and outside the office.
• Purchasing Coordination: Work closely with the purchase department to finalize rate quotes.
• Cost Comparison: Compare actual costs with budgeted costs upon project completion.
• Tender Analysis: Study the BOQ, tender documents, terms, conditions, and eligibility criteria.
• Site & Office Work: A significant portion of the role involves both office and site measurement work for billing purposes.
• Client Follow-ups: Follow up with clients for payments.

Required Candidate Profile:

• Immediate Joining: The candidate must be able to join immediately.
• Educational Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in interior design or a similar qualification is mandatory.
• Creativity & Design Eye: Must possess creative talent, imagination, and a strong eye for design.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of computer applications and relevant software for design and costing.
