Role & responsibilities


  • Ensure project execution activities are completed within the cost, time and quality parameters set for the project.
  • Effectively implement projects related to plant and process operations.
  • Responsible for the design scope of work, technical evaluation of bids, onboarding of EPC partners, and end-to-end project execution. This includes managing project planning, budgeting, timelines, project control, and reporting.
  • Ensure the availability of spares, materials, manpower, and financial resources required for the construction and erection of power plants.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs to maintain project alignment and mitigate risks.
  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans.
  • Identify bottlenecks and resolve on-site issues to maintain strict adherence to project targets.
  • Manage end-to-end project execution, from the letter of intent to final clearances, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for seamless execution.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project and construction management practices throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate with WRLDC, PGCIL, CEA, CSPTCL, CSPGCL, CSPDCL, and POSOCO for effective grid management.
  • Ensure timely payment of electricity duty, DSM payments, and REC to avoid surcharges.
  • Conduct business visits to understand and implement technological upgrades for ongoing and upcoming projects at JPL Tamnar.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, statutory regulations, IMS, EnMS, cybersecurity, and I-comply protocols.
  • Manage the planning and scheduling of construction and erection jobs in the power plant and township through work breakdown structures, and monitor project progress, including L3 level schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to labour laws by contractors/sub-contractors and effectively manage relations with trade unions/associations. Oversee the timely closure of contracts.
  • Ensure environmental protection measures are in place during project construction and erection.
  • Ensure timely acquisition of required land for the project and the finalization and implementation of the RAP.
  • Ensure timely preparation and finalization of the annual project budget.

Ensure the development and satisfaction of subordinates, and foster a conducive working environment at the project site.
