IJP- Software Engineering Team Lead

We are looking for a strong hands-on Development team Lead who will be working closely with the team in Pune and the UK to manage and deliver systems that improve the experience of our customers and business users. The candidate should demonstrate a high level of diligence and proactivity, with extensive experience of building solutions through all stages of the software development life cycle. The candidate will be leading a fast-paced Scrum team in India and will be responsible for on time delivery. This role requires significant hands-on technical expertise with the latest Microsoft technologies, and the candidate should have good familiarity with frontend and backend development. The candidate must be familiar with software design methods and techniques and should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, including the in-depth analysis of technical requirements. The ideal candidate will be assisting team on technology front and guiding various aspects of technology, so they need to have a vision for designing and building robust and scalable systems. People management responsibility will be part of the role. Responsibilities:

Technical:

Develop review, understand architectural design, and ensure it is in alignment with business requirement and solution design.

Technically Lead a Scrum delivery team, provide constructive and effective solutions to complex technical problems, implementing best practices.

Strict focus on code quality and stress built in quality during code development. Knowledge of all best coding practices and foster continuous improvement.

Take technical ownership of complex PBIs and deliver them as an example to the team.

Conduct pull-request reviews and code reviews.

Leadership:

Demonstrate high self-organizational skills and a holistic problem-solving approach. Drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Inspire, motivate, and manage a technical team, led by example, set challenging targets for your team, and continuously seeking out improvements.

Mentor junior colleagues and help them grow technically as well as in respective career path.

Contribute to learning and development of team. Communication & Collaboration:

Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss complex solutions to both a technical and non-technical multinational audience.

Effective collaboration with UK counterparts, infra team members, release team and other stake holders.

Close collaboration and periodic update with stakeholder like UK and India Management, Delivery Management, Product Owners about team and delivery status.

Delivery Management:

Initiative-taking approach regarding analysing, defining, and planning risks which might slow down or derail the delivery going forward.

Be responsible for the team deliverables; Ensure timely delivery of deliverables with high quality and maintain desired communication with UK colleagues.

Support team activities such as planning and estimation.

Manage end to end Deliveries for the team and ensure all bits and pieces are in place.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience

8+ years of hands-on experience in .Net/C#/Microsoft stack development

Prior experience of working with UK or other regions such as North America/EMEA/APAC.

Must have strong knowledge and experience in Object Oriented Programming, Analysis and Design concepts.

Must have extensive experience in development and unit testing (automation) of applications using Microsoft .NET Core, RESTful microservices, Web API, Angular and C#.

Extensive experience with storage technologies like SQL, Redis and SOLR.

Automated UI and API testing experience.

Experience working with containerised environments using Kubernetes, Docker & CI/CD pipelines.

Must have knowledge and experience in SOLID principles and industry best practices using Microsoft Technologies.

Experience in handling non-functional requirements such as performance, security, load, scaling and usability of applications.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Data driven and result oriented.

Excellent communication skills.

Problem-solving aptitude.

Working experience of Agile/ScrumKanban methodologies

Deep understanding of the latest technology trends

Excellent people manager.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Event driven architectures (Kafka).

Experience with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
