Exim Manager

Role & responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the end-to-end process of export and import activities, ensuring compliance with all local and international trade regulations.
• Prepare, review, and maintain all required documentation for international shipments, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, packing lists, and letters of credit.
• Manage relationships with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure smooth and timely shipments.
• Monitor and optimize transportation routes, ensuring cost-effective and efficient delivery of goods across international borders.
• Implement and oversee risk management strategies to address potential issues such as customs delays, regulatory changes, and shipment discrepancies.
• Stay up-to-date with changing import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade policies in various regions.
• Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, finance, and procurement) to ensure smooth execution of international orders and alignment with overall business goals.
• Lead a team of logistics and compliance professionals, providing mentorship, training, and guidance on best practices.
• Develop and manage budgets for EXIM activities, ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to cost-saving strategies.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and ensure that all shipments meet regulatory requirements.
• Handle customer inquiries and concerns related to international shipping, ensuring satisfaction and timely resolution.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
• years of experience in export-import operations or logistics management.
• Strong knowledge of global trade regulations, import/export laws, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
• Experience with trade management software and ERP systems.
• Proven ability to manage and optimize global logistics, including vendor and supplier negotiations.
• Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
• Ability to lead a team, drive results, and ensure compliance with all trade regulations.
• Familiarity with financial aspects of international trade, including cost control, budgeting, and tariff management.
• Multilingual skills (preferred but not required).
