Planning & Billing Engineer

• Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables
• Create project schedules, set milestones, and establish critical path analysis
• Resource Allocation: Identify the required resources, both human and material, for project execution
• Coordinate with different departments to ensure the availability and allocation of resources as per the project plan
• Cost Estimation: Analyze project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project-related expenses
• Evaluate project risks and contingencies to incorporate them into the cost estimation
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop project budgets and monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest alternatives to optimize project expenses
• Implement cost control measures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
• Progress Tracking and Reporting: Monitor project progress against the established schedule and milestones
• Generate regular reports, including progress updates, cost status, and resource utilization
• Highlight any deviations from the plan and propose corrective actions
• Billing and Invoicing: Prepare accurate billing statements and invoices based on the project milestones and contractual agreements
• Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely payment collection and resolve any billing-related issues
• Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including project plans, cost estimates, progress reports, and change orders
• Ensure all project-related documentation is up-to-date, organized, and easily accessible
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, and suppliers, to provide regular updates on project status, costs, and billing matters
• Address any queries or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly and professionally

Qualifications:

• Education:A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is typically required
• Additional certifications or courses in project management, cost estimation, or planning can be advantageous
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software tools (eg, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and cost estimation software
• Strong knowledge of project planning techniques, scheduling, and resource management
