You will work closely with the business in shaping our product and serve hundreds of millions of Indians in our journey!

About Role:

You will own a functional area - from product conception to its delivery to customers. You are expected to design and code independently in multiple tech components related to your functional area. You must also develop a deep understanding of non-functional requirements, such as reliability and availability, scale, horizontal scalability, etc., over time and make tech stack decisions accordingly. You are expected to actively mentor junior engineers. You own the codebase quality. We are looking for seasoned engineers who are quality conscious, product thinkers, business cognizant and smart not mere coders. Engineers get to significantly amplify the impact of their work or creations with the scale that Winni operates at. The same scale also demands the engineers to produce super-efficient solutions.

Role & responsibilities

1. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software
2. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
3. Own large technical deliverables and execute in an exemplary way
4. Mentor and guide team members on everything from structured problem solving to development of best practices, along with code reviews.
5. Communicates with stakeholders in an effective and timely fashion. Capable of unblocking self and other teams whenever necessary.
6. Finishes deliverables on time, ensures functional correctness and completeness. Contributes to non-functional aspects without supervision.

Preferred candidate profile

1. A Bring It on attitude; bias for action; self-driven, end-to-end ownership; focus on operational excellence; ability to work with ambiguity.
2. Should have 5+ years of experience working in Java 5+, Spring, Spring boot and Hibernate.
3. Excellent coding skills in Java/J2EE.
4. Decent understanding of JSP and JSTL tags along with basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
5. Very good understanding of one or more of RDBMS/NoSQL/Messaging/Caching technologies.
6. Nice to have experience with any of these Groovy, Quartz framework, Redis, Microservices
7. Strong object-oriented design skills, ability to apply design patterns, and an uncanny ability to design intuitive modules and class-level interfaces.
8. The ability to do deep problem solving and build elegant, maintainable solutions to complex problems.
9. Has prior experience of consuming AWS services (Lambda, ELB, ALB, SNS, SES) and infrastructure
10. Bachelors degree, further education, or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, computer science, or other technical-related fields.
