Job Description
Prioritizing pedestrian and non-motorized transport (NMT), creating iconic intersections across India. Street Design: From design to execution, we focus on capacity building, stakeholder engagement, and project monitoring. Green Infrastructure: Creation of vibrant green lungs for cities including parks, wetlands, urban forests etc. Blue Infrastructure: Waterfront masterplan and guidelines focusing on climate resilience and incorporating green infrastructure techniques to create memorable waterfront public spaces. Community-centric Architecture: Socially architecture projects that cater to underserved populations.
We are seeking an Associate Urban Design to join our team in Assam. This is an exciting opportunity for a young architect / urban designer with a passion for crafting vibrant, inclusive public spaces. You will work on the design and implementation of urban-scale projects that will transform Assam s cities, working closely with government and related agencies.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with the team to produce reports, presentations, concept designs, working drawings, and BOQs .
- Actively participate in design discussions , articulating ideas clearly and contributing to the development of urban design concepts.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings for project implementation.
- Work on photo montages, 3D visualizations , and SketchUp images to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Support in the writing of project reports , ensuring efficient documentation and organization of all data.
- Liaise with government stakeholders and other relevant agencies.
- Travel to sites as required, conducting site studies, analysis, and supervision .
- Bachelor s Degree in Architecture is required; a Master s degree in Urban Design or a related field is a plus.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in urban design or architecture, with a focus on urban-scale projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp (or similar 3D software) is essential.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience working with government agencies, civil society, or industry stakeholders.
