AR and CM Functional Consultant (LATAM Region)

Role & responsibilities

Oracle EBS R12 AR and CM Module Expertise:

○ Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of Oracle EBS R12 AR

and CM modules, focusing on Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and

Treasury functions for LATAM region customers

○ Configure and customize AR and CM modules to align with client

requirements, ensuring compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations,

and business processes in LATAM.

○ Provide functional expertise in key AR processes such as billing, invoicing,

collections, receipts, credit management, and dispute management.

○ Provide guidance and configuration expertise for CM processes such as bank

reconciliation, cash forecasting, and liquidity management.

2. Client Requirement Gathering and Solution Design:

○ Collaborate with clients to gather business requirements, identify gaps, and

propose best practice solutions in Oracle EBS AR and CM modules.

○ Document functional specifications and ensure system configuration aligns

with the clients business processes and local regulations.

○ Design end-to-end solutions for AR and CM, including payment processing,

credit management, cash flow management, and bank integration.

3. Implementation and Configuration:

○ Configure Oracle EBS R12 AR and CM modules, including setting up key

components like customer accounts, payment terms, dunning, bank accounts,

cash positions, and forecasting.

○ Implement integrations with other Oracle modules (e.g., Oracle Financials,

GL, AP) and third-party systems to ensure seamless AR and CM processes.

○ Develop data migration strategies and support data transfer for AR and CM

from legacy systems into Oracle EBS.

4. Testing and Training:

○ Conduct thorough testing of AR and CM configurations, including functional,

integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) with client stakeholders.

○ Create test cases and testing scripts to ensure that the AR and CM systems

are working as expected, identifying issues and resolving them during testing

phases.

○ Develop user manuals and conduct end-user training for AR and CM

processes to ensure smooth adoption and user competence.

5. Support and Troubleshooting:

○ Provide post-implementation support to clients for AR and CM issues,

ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to business processes.

○ Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to streamline AR

and CM operations.

○ Work with the technical team to resolve any system issues, including bugs,

errors, or performance concerns related to AR and CM functionality.

6. Documentation and Compliance:

○ Ensure all configurations, changes, and customizations are properly

documented and aligned with company policies and audit requirements.

○ Stay up-to-date with LATAM-specific accounting, tax, and regulatory

requirements to ensure Oracle EBS R12 configurations meet local

compliance standards.

○ Support audits by ensuring all AR and CM transactions are traceable and

compliant with financial regulations in LATAM.

7. Stakeholder Engagement:

○ Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding all functional aspects of

Oracle EBS R12 AR and CM modules.

○ Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, IT, Operations) to

ensure that all business needs are addressed effectively within the Oracle

EBS environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration,

Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred candidate profile

Oracle EBS R12 certification in AR and CM modules.

• Experience in multi-country, multi-currency implementations, especially in LATAM.
• Familiarity with advanced Oracle EBS R12 functionalities such as Cash Management

automation and Oracle Payments.

• Knowledge of Oracle Reporting tools (e.g., Oracle BI, OTBI) for generating financial

reports related to AR and CM.

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials or migration from EBS to Oracle Cloud is a

plus.
