Instrumentation Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Performing preventive maintenance of Laboratory Instrument, equipment, and system as per schedule.

2. Ensuring the calibration of Instrument/equipment/system as per schedule.

3. Ensuring the proper functioning and placement of all safety related instruments/ equipments.

4. Coordinating with external and internal vendors for Instrument/equipment /system calibration and preventive maintenance.

5. Attending malfunctions of instruments/ equipment’s.

6. Ensure the proper functioning of utility equipment/system (UPS, DG, Compressor, AC, AHU, electrical panels, pH Neutralizing system, Fume hood, Wet scrubber, Fire extinguisher etc.).

7. Ensure the receipt and connection of laboratory gas cylinder for routine analysis such as nitrogen, helium, argon, hydrogen etc.as per the requirements.

8. Ensure all preventive maintenance and calibration activities are done properly and reviewed.

9. Support site preparation for new Instrument/equipment/system and expansion of existing facility.

10. Ensuring that quality system is adhered in all activities of engineering activities including internal/external audit and their compliances.

11. Bringing it to the notice of lab head or director analytical service or QA manager or director iVRS on serious quality system violation which may impact the testing result or reputation of iVRS.

12. Ensure internal calibration of analytical balance, pH meter, centrifuge, refrigerated centrifuge, sonicator & orbital shaker.

13. Ensure overall building electrical maintenance and infrastructure maintenance.

14. Ensure all instrument labelling, preventive maintenance labelling, calibration labelling and maintenance of all records.

15. Ensure the Baseline configuration of all the instruments as per SOP.

16. Maintenance of Pollution control board documents in coordination with admin person.

17. To follow all the SOPs and maintain the record accordingly as per requirement. Periodic revision of IE SOP’s.

18. To ensure that all the activities are performed in line with ISMS requirement of confidentiality, integrity and availability.
