Rate Checker (Logistics Non Voice) - Male Candidate

About the Role

A freight forward Rate Checker is therefore one who examines, adjusts, and verifies freight bills for accuracy. To begin the auditing process, a freight bill payment company receives its clients' freight bills directly from carriers. When the bills are received, either via electronic data interchange (EDI) or manually, they are entered into the contractor's system, providing immediate visibility. Once the bills are entered, they are audited for accuracy. Auditors verify the bills' validity, mileage, duplicate payments, accessorize charges, and use of correct tariffs. After auditing, the charges are coded and reconciled, and the bills are paid.

Experience: 1 to 3 Years

Education: Bachelor's degree in any field

Work Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM, with flexibility required for shift changes.

Location: Chennai (Ambattur Industrial Estate)

Job Responsibilities

• Accountable for assigned Client/Carrier shipments closure on Client portal.
• To perform audit on rates billed by Carrier vs Client contract.
• Follow-up on issues/queries/clarification respective to shipments on assigned Client/Carrier internally with Team Lead and get it closed on Client portal.
• Playing a vital role with co-workers to deliver the customer expected deliverable.
• To be self-learning all new assigned Clients/Carriers in a limited time frame.
• Maintain all required data/report such as Production/Queries of his individual on daily basis.
• Should perform multitasking in other assigned projects if any as well.

Key Requirements and Skills

• Excellent in reading/understand English especially US client documents and should be able to self-work based on the document instruction.
• Medium level computer proficiency (MS Office Word and Excel).
• Basic knowledge of mathematics as a disciplinein particular rate calculations.
• Experience in working on any kind of other Client applications previously is preferable.
• Experience in working Cloud platform is preferable. (Eg: Azure/AWS/Citrix).
• Ability to work independently and to self-learn new tasks based on instruction and complete routine work in a timely manner.
• Should be flexible in working any shift as per process requirement.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills.

• Accountable for assigned Client/Carrier shipments closure on Client portal within 3 days of receipt time.
• Should meet his daily assigned target based on their tenuity with us.
• Meeting client expectation quality of 100% in all shipments worked.
