Job Description
- Lead and deliver Technical Solutions in line with industry best practices
- Experienced Technology Manager having customer facing IT Solutions (Java/JEE) delivery background with a proven track record of building, developing & managing software teams. Experience in CAD & Design engineering would be a plus
- Expertise having delivered software with Distributed Agile Teams using SAFe methodology
- Should have solid technical understanding of multi-tier Application Development
- Good knowledge of Cloud, DevOps, FOSS, API and Micro services
- Has extensive experience with complex requirements (for the purposes of implementing the requirements)
- Should have worked on atleast 2 projects where candidate is personally involved from beginning to design a system.
- Knows best practices of architectures in the area of responsibility
- Can design solutions independently
- Develop the strategic direction for the Certification sub-domain in alignment with IT partner
- Contribute to Strategy & Development of Department/CoC
- Contribute effectively to core department activities as a part of Extended Leadership Team
- Contribute by owning and driving certain cross-functional department activities
- Transfer best practices and Lessons learnt across the department
- Develop required technical & domain competency for the teams to go the next level of ownership
- Solid Team Leadership & People Management skills
- Instill a high performance culture in the team with a focus on team work
- People Management - Interviews, Mentoring, Training, Knowledge sharing, Team building and Performance Appraisals
- Ensure regular open dialogue with employees & management and communication of strategy
- Define, maintain and monitor individual target agreements and goals for employees (including review of target agreement, appraisal and feedback) & initiate actions for further competency development of employees
- Inspire employees to high performance & keep employee commitment high and increase retention
- Customer/Partner Management Skills
- Integrate as a part of the CoC in Germany for associated sub-domain of Certification
- Develop excellent network and communication to stakeholders
- Execute topics and project-specific communication to ensure customer satisfaction
- Handle escalations in area of responsibility
- Financial Topics - Budget Planning & Controlling
- Be accountable for proper planning & allocation of budget in the area of responsibility
- Handle dedicated budget properly & utilize resources optimally
- Display ability to identify opportunities for efficiency/cost reduction/continuous improvement
- Operational Excellence & Delivery Skills/Quality Management/Project Management
- Ensure successful service/project/program execution (cost, time, quality) for services/projects/programs in responsibility
- Ensure that Quality & Process objectives are met & Contribute towards Process improvements
- Innovation & Change Management
- Develop and drive the innovation culture with in the team
- Be capable of identifying and implementing change within the team to ensure it can take on new assignments
- Supplier Management
- Plan and manage external resources in the area of responsibility
- Manage suppliers and ensure effective communication with them
- Miscellaneous
- Have excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills
- Preferable to have German language skills or past experience on projects with German business partners
Qualifications
Specific Knowledge: (Skill / Languages etc.)
- IT Project and Program Management - Should have managed a large portfolio of projects/topics in one or more domains. A good record of accomplishment of grooming the topics as well as the people involved and showing a significant growth would be necessary.
- Should have a development background - Java/.NET and should have worked in Agile Development teams with a good exposure to Scrum/Kanban and DevOps methodologies.
- Proven to be a good out of the box thinker and should have contributed to some innovative topics
- Proven excellence in stakeholder and customer/partner management
- Proven experience in Business Acquisition and Solutioning for new topics/setup
- Experience in driving projects/topics using metrics/KPIs - Data driven decisions and steering
- German Language Skills will be an added Advantage.
Education : B.E (any field) or M.B.A (General Administration)
