Job Description
ISS STOXX is actively hiring a GL Accountant for Mumbai (Goregaon East) location.
Overview:
As a General Ledger Accountant, ISS is looking for a highly driven and skilled professional to join our team. You will be in charge of managing the accounting procedures for our EMEA region in this capacity. Daily financial operations and month-end obligations will be your main priorities. You will ensure prompt and accurate activity recording while collaborating closely with the finance team to achieve pressing month-end requirements.
Responsibilities:
- 2 - 5 years of Accounting Experience in a multi-national organization (or)
- 2 - 5 years of Experience in accounting functions such as general ledger accounting, Bookkeeping, accruals, prepaid amortizations & Month close.
- Experience in fixed asset reconciliation, depreciation, compiling data for statutory auditors, Accounts finalization & month end close process.
- Reviewing & approving invoices, expenses, Posting & processing journal entries in accounting system.
- Can prepare Balance sheet reconciliation, MIS and bank reconciliations.
- Can handle projects, prepare reports and financial analysis as requested by managers from EMEA/USA
- Can independently handle month-end close. Finalization up to the preparation of financial statements.
- Ability to analyze trial balance, look for corrections and make the necessary adjusting entries.
- Transact with banks, government representatives, and suppliers
- Assistance in accounting duties for EMEA markets.
- Other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s in accounting, Finance or relevant field.
- CA preferred but not mandate.
- Inter CA with Articleship experience.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with accounting software
- Good command of the English language (Speaking and Writing)
- Great attention to detail
- Knowledgeable of Indian / International taxation (statutory submissions, filing dates, and tax calculations).
- Experience in SAP/ Netsuite is preferred.
- Experience in Swiss or German GAAP companies are preferable.
