Test Planning: Collaborate with the development and product teams to create test plans, test cases, and test scripts that detail how the software will be tested
Test Execution: Manually execute test cases by interacting with the software as an end user, systematically following test procedures to verify its functionality
Defect Identification: Identify and document defects, bugs, or unexpected behavior in the software
Provide clear and detailed bug reports to the development team
Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved and that new changes have not introduced new defects
Exploratory Testing: Explore the software to find unexpected issues or defects that may not be covered by predefined test cases
Usability Testing: Evaluate the software from a user's perspective, considering its user interface, accessibility, and overall user experience
Performance Testing: Manually test the software's performance, including its responsiveness, load handling, and stability under various conditions
Security Testing: Identify security vulnerabilities, such as data leaks or access control issues, by performing manual security testing
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
Communication: Collaborate with the development team to discuss and clarify issues, track the status of defects, and retest resolved issues
Feedback: Provide feedback to the development team to improve software quality and prevent similar issues in the future
Qualifications:Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field can be beneficial, but it is not always required
Testing Knowledge: Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze software behavior and identify deviations from expected results
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to document defects accurately and comprehensively
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting defects and collaborating with the development team
