We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team as a corporate Regional Support Veterinarian! This is a full-time, clinical, salaried position (4 days per week in our hospitals, on average) and requires travel to our practice locations in the Charlotte region. This is a great opportunity for a candidate interested in working at multiple hospitals, mentoring, or beginning their career in veterinary leadership
Key Responsibilities. Full clinical duties while on shift in hospitals. Adapt to a multitude of practice environments and work with a wide variety of teams
Strong level of empathy and should be able to modify their approach and treatment plan according to the unique needs of each hospital's team and clientele. Positive outlook (glass half full mentality!). Desire to help others. Strong sense of resiliency/adaptability. Local travel weekly. Prior leadership or mentorship experience also preferred. Skills, Knowledge, And Expertise. A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Hold or can obtain a veterinary license in good standing in the states in which our practices are located
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership skills and the ability to delegate responsibility when appropriate
The ability to analyze complex information and make quality decisions that are respectful of the stakeholders involved
The ability to work with, lead, and motivate people of various personality types
Strong time management skills
The ability to conduct oneself in a manner befitting the importance of the position of Veterinarian
The ability to represent American Veterinary Group and the practice to the profession and community in a positive manner
