Job Description

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for managing projects related to software development, IT infrastructure, or other technical initiatives. This role involves coordinating teams, managing stakeholder expectations, mitigating risks, and ensuring the successful delivery of technical projects.

You will work closely with developers, engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure project success, while also maintaining the balance between technical feasibility and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning:
- Develop comprehensive project plans that align with business objectives.
- Define project scope, goals, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Allocate resources and set up project schedules.
Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including management, business units, and technical teams to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress to stakeholders.
Team Coordination:
- Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and QA teams.
- Oversee day-to-day project activities and ensure team collaboration.
- Remove roadblocks and ensure technical teams have the resources they need.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks, issues, and bottlenecks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Escalate critical issues to leadership if needed.
Agile/Scrum Facilitation:
- Serve as the Scrum Master for Agile projects, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Manage backlog, user stories, and ensure proper prioritization of work items.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Track project costs and manage resources efficiently.
- Provide project financial forecasts and reporting to stakeholders.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure project deliverables meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Oversee testing, validation, and any necessary adjustments before project go-live.
Post-Implementation Support:
- Manage transition to production and post-deployment support.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and process improvements.
