Job Description
- Analyze and understand existing Java applications and their dependencies.
- Refactor and optimize Java code for improved performance and cloud-native deployment.
- Collaborate with Sr. Cloud Engineer/DevOps to understand cloud architecture and best practices for Java applications.
- Migrate Java applications to AWS services like EC2, ECS, or EKS.
- Implement and integrate with cloud-based services like AWS API Gateway, Lambda, and S3.
- Ensure the security and performance of Java applications in the cloud environment.
- Write unit tests and conduct thorough testing of migrated Java applications.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining Java applications.
- Strong understanding of Java, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
- Experience with Java EE, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud concepts (AWS preferred) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
