Manager - Nitric Acid - Uzbekistan

• Job Purpose: To ensure the efficient, safe, and sustainable production of high-quality nitric acid while optimizing processes, maintaining compliance, and leading a high-performing team to meet organizational goals
• Oversee the production process of nitric acid, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and output.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production rates, yield, and energy consumption to ensure targets are met.
• Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure the smooth and safe operation of nitric acid production facilities, including reactors, absorption towers, and heat exchangers.
• Coordinate with the operations team to maintain consistent production levels and address any operational issues promptly.
• Ensure all production activities comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among the workforce.
• Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure the nitric acid produced meets industry standards and customer specifications.
• Conduct regular testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and final products.
• Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee the maintenance of nitric acid production equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of critical assets.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to address equipment failures and perform necessary repairs.
• Prepare and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
• Monitor expenditures, control costs, and report financial performance to senior management.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., senior management, operations, maintenance, quality assurance) and external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, regulatory bodies) to ensure alignment and support for production activities.
• Communicate production updates, challenges, and milestones to stakeholders regularly.
• Identify and implement process optimization initiatives to improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Utilize data analysis and process modeling to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement process modifications.
• Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained from regulatory authorities for nitric acid production.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Incorporate sustainable practices into nitric acid production to minimize environmental impact.
• Explore opportunities for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and emission control.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of production activities, including production reports, quality records, and maintenance logs.
• Prepare and present detailed production reports to senior management and stakeholders.
