Assistant Manager - Finance

Role & responsibilities

1. Debt and Interest Optimization:

• Strategically manage debt and minimize interest costs.
• Optimize cash flow using accurate financial projections.

2. Compliance Management:

• Ensure timely compliance with tax regulations, audits, and monthly/annual returns.
• Oversee banking activities and statutory assessments.

3. Reconciliation and Financial Reporting:

• Support internal teams with reconciliations and clarifications.
• Ensure timely closure of monthly MIS and other financial statements.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of banks, general ledgers, and related accounts.
• Finalization of accounts with auditors.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Monitor and report on Budget vs. Forecast vs. Actual performance.

5. Audit Management:

• Ensure accuracy and timely closure of statutory and group audits.
• Focus on Tally audit trails and financial records.
• Coordinate with the operations team for fixed asset verification.

6. Process Improvement:

• Continuously improve and simplify financial and audit processes, including record management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proficiency in financial tools like Tally and ERP systems. Understanding of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
• Experience in budget management and forecasting.
• Excellent problem-solving and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• 5+years experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and tax regulations.
• Proactive in implementing process improvements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
