Automation Test Engineer

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in Selenium and Java to help us build and maintain automated test suites for our applications. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated tests, identifying software defects, and contributing to the overall improvement of our testing processes. The role requires a deep understanding of test automation frameworks and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Implement and enhance test automation frameworks for web and API testing.
• Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and other QA engineers to define test plans and strategies.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure the quality of software releases.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and report them to the development team with detailed steps to reproduce.
• Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the automation suite.
• Execute automated test scripts and manually perform tests where necessary.
• Maintain and update test data, environments, and tools as needed.
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to propose new testing solutions.
• Ensure thorough test coverage of all application features and user flows.
• Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to discuss progress, issues, and improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Selenium and Java.
• Strong knowledge of Java programming and object-oriented concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience in integrating test automation with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
