Sdet Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks for web and API testing.
• Work with developers and QA teams to integrate automation into the SDLC and CI/CD pipeline.
• Automate different types of tests, including Sanity, Smoke, and Regression.
• Write and maintain automation test scripts for web and API testing using Selenium and Rest Assured.
• Ensure automation framework scalability and update it as needed.
• Identify and design test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Work within Agile development sprints, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Apply OOP principles while developing automation solutions.
• Mentor and support junior testers, providing guidance on automation best practices.
• Take ownership of individual tasks and lead automation initiatives when opportunities arise.
• Assist in manual testing when regression or exploratory testing is required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in test automation for web and API testing.
• Proficiency in Selenium, Rest Assured, and Java for test automation.
• Strong understanding of test frameworks like Gauge, Cucumber, and TestNG.
• Experience maintaining and updating automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of OOP concepts and their application in test automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI preferred) and integrating test automation into DevOps workflows.
• Strong test scenario identification and analytical skills.
• Experience working in Agile development and participating in sprints.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and guide them in automation best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
