Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Selenium to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to create and execute automated tests. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts using Selenium (WebDriver).

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for web applications and APIs.

- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to identify test scenarios and ensure complete coverage.

- Develop and execute test automation frameworks that are reusable and easily maintainable.

- Review and analyse system specifications to develop and implement efficient test strategies.

- Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

- Conduct code reviews and guide other QA team members on best practices for automation.

- Monitor and maintain automation test execution and report defects, ensuring proper triage, tracking, and resolution.

- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies, and evaluate new technologies for continuous improvement.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and work closely with the development team to deliver quality software.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 10+ years of experience in software automation testing, with a strong focus on Selenium.

- Strong proficiency with Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python/C# (or similar programming languages).

- Experience with automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or similar.

- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices.

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab for integrating automated tests.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).

- Experience with RESTful API automation testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.

- Knowledge of cross-browser testing and tools like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.

- Hands-on experience with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with BDD (behavior-driven development) and tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.

- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.

- Experience working with databases and SQL queries for test validation.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
