Essential Qualification and Work Experience:
- Graduate degree and/or equivalent work experience required.
- 2-4 years experience in the Financial Services / Securities Industry.
Soft Skills :
- Demonstrate effective communication skills as well as set clear expectations to all clients, service partners, and internal teams both in written and verbal communication.
- Concise writing skills.
- Representing the team in communication with other teams.
Domain/Technical Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Capital Markets Equities, Fixed Income, Traditional Assets, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Corporate Actions, Money Market Funds.
- Understanding about Trade Life Cycle.
- Experience with Pricing Vendors, Bloomberg, ICE.
- Developing skills as an SME (Subject Matter Expert).
- Preparing documentation for team and for management.
- Relating to higher level clients and proposing solutions.
- Complex problem solving.
- Ability to support team members.
- Independent judgment and decision making within the functional area of expertise.
- Preparing and implementing improved processing capabilities.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Provide technical, industry, process, and trouble-shooting support to a team of operation analysts and specialists within and outside of their own unit/discipline.
- Responsible for the daily process of activities, performs project management and coordination, and execution for the assigned operational competency.
- Primary focus is on day-to-day deliverables, developing solutions based upon subject expertise, representing the department at a broader level.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other process related documents intact.
- Train, mentor, and assist in coaching any analysts and junior specialists as needed.
- As an operations user, analyst, or technical specialist supporting investment processing applications (ideally a security master/pricing application) or accounting systems.
- Ensure service level agreements are met, and oversee daily functional job checklists where needed.
- Proactively recommend innovations and modifications which are in compliance with industry requirements and are consistent with corporate objectives and goals to improve operational processes, systems, policies and procedures.
- Assisting with client implementations as needed.
- Ensure quality controls are met (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
