Assistant Project Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Coordination:
• Assist in planning, managing, and tracking technical projects from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as a liaison between technical teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress.
• Communicate project risks, roadblocks, and solutions to ensure alignment with goals.
• Gather and document client feedback to refine project objectives.
3. Technical Support:
• Collaborate with the technical team to understand the scope of work and provide input during project planning.
• Assist in technical documentation, requirement gathering, and resource allocation.
• Monitor technical performance and escalate issues as needed.
4. Team Collaboration:
• Support the Project Manager in leading and motivating the team to achieve project milestones.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure effective project management in Agile environments.
• Address team concerns and help resolve conflicts effectively.
5. Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to improve project workflows and optimize team efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities and prepare regular status reports.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of project management tools and templates.

Preferred candidate profile

• Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in project coordination or technical roles.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with software development processes, project management tools (JIRA, Trello, Asana, etc.), and Agile methodologies.
• Soft Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum is a plus.
