Project Planning Engineer

Job description

• Developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines using project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to ensure projects are executed efficiently.
• Allocating resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials in accordance with project requirements, budgets and timelines.
• Identifying potential risks, analysing their impact on project schedules, and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
• Tracking project progress against the established schedule, identifying deviations, and recommending corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Collaborating with project managers, stakeholders, and various departments to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and resource needs.
• Generating regular progress reports, presenting project status updates, and providing insights to stakeholders on project performance metrics.
• Ensuring that project plans adhere to quality standards, regulations, and best practices.

Desire Candidate

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil), Project Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, ERP, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential issues and devise effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to pay close attention to details while managing multiple aspects of a project simultaneously.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead when necessary.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and practices related to the particular field of engineering or project management.
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in working with Government departments.
