Job Description
- Senior Mainframe Systems ProgrammerWe need a strong z/OS Systems Programmer who has experience with RACF or knows what it is and is open to working with it - more on the Security side
- About the role and what youll be doing: We are seeking a skilled Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer with 8 + years of experience in mainframe security, specifically with RACF and ACF2
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in administering login IDs, dataset, and resource rules, as well as expertise in mainframe digital certificates
- This role requires monitoring system security policies, handling violations/incidents, and performing regular audit reviews
- The candidate will also liaise with business and technical support areas, provide customer support through reports and presentations, and ensure adherence to security standards
- Availability for 24/7 support is essential
- Key Areas of Focus for this Role Administer RACF and ACF2 login IDs, dataset, and resource rules
- Manage and monitor mainframe digital certificates
- Oversee system security policies and address violations/incidents
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audit report reviews
- Collaborate with business and technical support teams
- Prepare ad hoc reports and deliver presentations for customer support
- Ensure compliance with security standards across the environment
- Required Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience in Mainframe Security packages RACF and ACF2
- College degree preferred Technical Skills:o oExcellent TSO, JCL, IBM UTILITIES, JES2, and ISPF a must oExperience using ZSECURE security products is desired General Knowledge:o oSome MVS experience is a plusoPC Skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ACF2, Top Secret, and iSeries security knowledge a plus Technical knowledge across multiple Mainframe teams Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) to a level of creating documents which can be shared with clients
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Customer Service skills at management level Experience establishing and documenting processes and procedures Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Understand a large-scale 24 7 production environment Strong problem solving and analytical skills with knowledge of problem analysis Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams as well as provide guidance to junior team members
