Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Sponsor Sales Manager with 8-14 years of experience in B2B sponsorship sales, specifically within the events and conferences industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing high-value sponsorships and leading a team to achieve sales targets. This role will involve driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and managing a team of sponsorship sales professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

Sponsorship Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and implement effective sponsorship sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify and target key industry players for potential sponsorship opportunities.
  • Create tailored sponsorship packages and brochures of events that align with the conferences and prospective clients marketing goals and objectives.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
  • Analyze sales performance data and market conditions to refine sales strategies.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the sponsorship portfolio.

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 1-3 sponsorship sales professionals.
  • Set clear performance goals along with you manager, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.
  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction by understanding client needs and delivering value-added solutions.
  • Handle high-stakes negotiations and close large sponsorship deals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, event production, and client servicing teams to ensure seamless execution of sponsorship deliverables.
  • Coordinate with finance and legal teams to manage contract negotiations and ensure compliance with terms, timely inward payments from clients.

Reporting and Forecasting:

  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.
  • Track and analyze sales metrics to measure team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the sponsorship sales budget and ensure profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 9-15 years of experience in sponsorship sales within the B2B events and conferences industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and securing high-value sponsorships.
  • Experience managing a sales team of 2 or more people, with strong leadership and mentoring skills ( add on advantage )
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable sales strategies.
  • Proficient in CRM tools, sales software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
