Job Description

A. Overall Purpose Of The Job

To be a forward-thinking and tech-savvy physician to lead and contribute to International SOSs digital transformation journey. This role bridges clinical expertise with technological innovation to help design, implement, and scale digital health solutions that enhance the delivery of health and well-being services. The ideal candidate will bring a strong medical background, coupled with an understanding of emerging technologies, to ensure our organization stays at the forefront of the digital health ecosystem.

B. Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution

  • Collaborate with leadership to define and execute a roadmap for digital transformation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Focus on business strategy and development to drive market adoption and forge key partnerships.
  • Work closely with enterprise customers to expand existing programs and scale digital health solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate digital solutions into existing healthcare workflows to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Solution Design and Implementation:

  • Provide clinical input during the development of digital health apps, platforms, and ecosystems, ensuring relevance and usability for end-users.
  • Partner with technology teams to evaluate and select tools like telemedicine platforms, AI-driven diagnostics, wearable health devices, and wellness applications.

Product Development and Innovation:

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to shape the direction of digital health products tailored for population health
  • Integrate clinical insights into product development to ensure usability, safety, and efficacy.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, product development, data analytics, and marketing to ensure solutions meet medical standards and user needs.
  • Act as a liaison between clinicians, developers, and patients to advocate for evidence-based, user-friendly digital health innovations.

Business Development:

  • Work with the Sales and Marketing Team to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Remain available to Sales and Marketing team members and clients for discussion and problem solving of issues relating to provision of digital health solutions, by providing required expert advice and direction.
  • Work along with the Marketing Communications team to showcase and promote digital solutions using innovative and advanced promotional methodologies
  • In consultation with the Marketing Director, participate and represent Intl.SOS, in appropriate professional forums and activities to enhance the profile of and promote digital services.

Consulting and Solutions:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality digital health consulting solutions for clients. Consulting will include the development and delivery of policies, plans, and training methodologies to support systemic Digital Healthcare adoption.
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of Digital Health Consulting & Solutions delivery through the Quality Management System.
  • Develop and maintain a pool of external consultants to support delivery of C&S digital solutions, prioritising the utilization of internal personnel where possible.

Occupational Health Delivery:

  • Lead the OH Clinic team to develop and deliver digital OH solutions to clients
  • Guide the adoption and usage of technology to enable more efficient OH service delivery in existing client contracts as well as in new business wins.
  • Use analytics and insights to monitor the efficacy of provided services, including use of end-user feedback tools like surveys and NPS scores.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health laws, standards and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) throughout the OH services delivery continuum.

Data and Outcomes Analysis:

  • Leverage health data to inform decision-making and optimize care delivery outcomes.
  • Guide regulated feature development in alignment with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Use analytics and insights to monitor the effectiveness of digital initiatives, iterating based on outcomes and user feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) while leveraging data to enhance care delivery.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure local and regional healthcare compliance. Participate in regulatory submissions, audits, and reviews.

Medical Leadership and Governance:

  • Champion medical partnership for digital health initiatives within the organization.
  • Create and implement a Medical Governance framework to monitor quality of clinical services delivered through digital mechanisms.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, opinion leaders, and industry experts, to gather insights and foster innovation

Training and Advocacy:

  • Work closely with the International SOS Regional Training Solutions and Iqarus teams to transform clinical training programs to support adoption and proper application of digital health products in both internal and external environments.
  • Lead training sessions and workshops to educate staff and stakeholders on new digital tools and systems.

Innovation and Continuous Learning:

  • Stay updated on global trends in digital health, telemedicine, and AI applications in healthcare.
  • Participate in conferences, workshops, and partnerships to bring innovative ideas into the organization.

C. Job Profile

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Good written and oral English communication.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Leadership qualities
  • A deep understanding of telehealth, digital therapeutics, wearable health technology and leveraging generated health data for care delivery (ie. early intervention, evidence-based and navigation)
  • A proven track record working with healthcare payers and care providers to design and deploy health interventions that have delivered measurable health outcomes
  • Strong experience driving large and complex partnerships for innovative digital health programs
  • A demonstrated ability of working cross-functionally with product, commercial, clinical, R&D teams to develop exceptionally well-designed digital health programs
  • Good team player who proactively reaches out to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good organizer with a sensitivity to cultural differences in the utilization of healthcare services
  • Maturity & stature to handle and mentor medical staff on site and remotely.
  • Confidence to interact with senior leaders in client organizations.
  • Knowledge in necessary aspects of preventive, curative and promotive medicine.
  • Knowledge and skills in pre-hospital and emergency medical care, long-distance and tele-medical diagnosis, and the cultural influences on international medical care.
  • The willingness to work extended hours when required to achieve project-related goals.

Required Competencies

  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate clinical needs into technological solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Passion for innovation and improving healthcare delivery through digital tools.
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles and patient engagement strategies.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with valid licensure to practice.
  • 5-8 years of clinical experience, preferably with exposure to preventive care or health and well-being services.
  • Experience and / or demonstrated interest in digital health, health tech, or technology-driven healthcare solutions.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, clinical workflows, and patient care pathways.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Additional qualifications in health informatics, public health, or digital health (e.g., MPH, MSc in Digital Health).
  • Experience working with digital health platforms, apps, or ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data analytics in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and ethical considerations for digital health initiatives.

Travel / Rotation Requirements (Brief description of any travel or rotation requirements)

  • Extensive travel, sometimes at very short notice, for periods of one day to two weeks.
