Job Description
In this role, the SQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SQL queries and database structures to support IMT ( ICE Mortgage Technology ) Products. The candidate should have a strong background in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be supporting IMT ( ICE Mortgage Technology ) Products . This role works closely with the ICE teams in India and U.S. Therefore, qualified candidates are expected to overlap part of their working hours with the U.S. Eastern time zone.
In This Role, You Will
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL code to deliver required functionality, including the creation of tables, views, synonyms, procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Write and optimize complex SQL scripts, queries, and stored procedures for data analysis and validation, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and SSIS packages to efficiently extract, transform, and load data.
- Analyze and improve existing SQL queries and SSIS packages for enhanced performance and scalability.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, testing, and debugging to resolve issues and ensure the reliability and performance of database solutions.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of relational databases, including tables, views, indexes, and tablespaces.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and address any issues that arise, ensuring successful implementation and functionality.
- Prepare test cases, perform unit testing, and maintain comprehensive documentation for database structures and processes.
- Willing to take on-call Production rotation and occasional weekend work
Knowledge and Experience
- Detailed experience developing PL/SQL Oracle Technologies (e.g. complex views/joins, analytical functions, regular expressions, table partitioning, materialized views, distributed transactions, transactional & analytical systems) and Oracle SQL Performance/Tuning
- Advanced proficiency with PL/SQL Packages/Functions/Procedures programming and debugging, Oracle Collection and Object Types
- Building of business applications from design to live production systems
- Ability to work independently, productively under pressure, and multi-task effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to contribute well in a team environment a team player
- Understanding of SDLC process, agile program management concepts and version control
Preferred:
- PL/SQL in depth programming skills
- Understanding of Version control using Git (Bitbucket)
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environment
- Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL Tools
- Problem Solving and Debugging skills
Education
- 8+ years experience in Product Development, familiarity in Mortgage, Finance or Banking domain would be added advantage.
- Bachelor s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week .
