Intellias - Team Lead - GIS Platform (8-10 yrs)

Project Overview :

Our flagship platform utilizes patented AI and machine learning algorithms to autonomously identify and categorize geospatial data points with high pixel accuracy.

The software generates precise CAD drawings, delivering up to 2-pixel accuracies for most datasets.

This empowers teams to deliver more projects faster, reducing project costs through better resource allocation.

Requirements :

- Minimum of 8 years in software development with a focus on GIS or geospatial products, and at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.

- Proficient in Node.js, AWS, and geospatial client technology (Mapbox/Google Earth/ESRI or similar).

- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS for managing geospatial data.

- Ability to manage engineering resources and infrastructure effectively.

- Experience with the ESRI ecosystem (ArGIS API for JavaScript, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro) and familiarity with 3D data handling and visualization within GIS platforms.

- Experience in developing and managing API integrations, ideally with a focus on GIS or spatial data outputs.

- Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and setting measurable performance goals for team members.

- Proven ability to address technical challenges, prioritize tasks, and manage issues through to resolution.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally to achieve alignment and meet project milestones.

- Familiarity with Agile development practices and experience in sprint planning.

- Experience managing and resolving technical issues within SLA-defined timelines.

Optional :

- Experience in React development.

- Experience in Python development.

- Experience working with terabytes worth of data along with familiarity of the following data types LIDAR point clouds, georeferenced imagery (GeoTiffs), and 360 rectilinear imagery.

- Knowledge of additional GIS or geospatial tools beyond the ESRI suite is a plus.

- Architect and lead the development of highly robust, scalable, and secure server-side applications and services.

- Guide the design and implementation of complex software requirements.

- Oversee code reviews and mentor developers to ensure high-quality code.

- Promote and drive Agile development methodologies within the team.

- Develop and implement advanced security measures.

- Manage complex application issues and ensure timely resolution.

- Develop and oversee comprehensive application testing procedures.

- Architect the integration of multiple data sources and databases into a single, coherent system.

- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of web applications in various environments.

- Lead the optimization and tuning of code for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
